How we'll help you elevate your photography

There are many benefits to joining a photography workshop.
Here are just a few of the benefits that Earth Sky & Space Photography Workshops offer you.

Dark Sky Reserve Location

Many of our workshops have a special focus on astrophotography.  Our workshop home base of Twizel is conveniently located within the world-renowned Aoraki Mackenzie International Dark Sky Reserve.

Twizel is not only the largest, but also the closest township to Aoraki Mount Cook National Park making it the best place to be when you want to explore the surrounding landscapes and night skies of New Zealand’s Mackenzie Region.

Dark Sky Guarantee

If you’re joining us specifically for an astrophotography workshop experience, we know how disappointing it can be to have your stargazing experience hampered by the clouds.

If inclement weather conditions mean we are not able to photograph any stars during a multi-day, astrophotography-specific workshop, you will be offered the chance to return for a complimentary 3-hour field trip session with Mike.  This session is subject to availability, and of course, the weather!

Inclement weather doesn’t stop our workshop programme either.  We’ll dive into additional post-processing techniques and discuss other skills to later employ in the field.

It’s our one-of-a-kind Dark Sky Guarantee.

Bespoke workshop experiences

Sometimes you want an experience that is tailor-made, something that’s just for you.  Perhaps you prefer one-to-one tuition.  Maybe you have specific dates and locations to work to within an existing itinerary for your New Zealand holiday.

We can help craft a one-of-a-kind photography workshop experience that is as individual as you are.  Contact us with whatever requirements you have and we’ll work with you to create a bespoke experience.
